Follett Destiny The Card Catalog

The new online catalog at JCHS is called Follett Destiny. It is very easy to use and includes some nice features that will enable users to search our collection in a variety of ways. Link to it from the JCHS home page or the Media Center tab. Here is a screenshot of the basic search window.

The default search is a keyword search, which means that Destiny will search for your term(s) any-where in the bibliographic record. The searchable fields include Title, Author, Subject heading, Summary, Notes and publication. Because a keyword search covers such a broad area, you may find that a one word search gives very vague results. Example: Type the word Washington, then hit enter (or return). You get several hundred results.

Q: Where is my media specialist?

A: Mrs. Renee Kitchens is stationed at

JCHS Main Campus.

Mrs. Laurie Griffin is split between the

two campuses. Monday, Tuesday, &

Wednesday she generally is at the

Main Campus. On Thursday and Fri-

day she is scheduled for the NGC. *If

there is an emergency @ NGC, please

inform Mrs. Aleywine and she will con-

tact Mrs. Griffin.
