My MOOC
I developed this strong interest and positive attitude
towards my MOOC and mathematics as a subject not
that I never had the passion this experience just made
me view the subject under a different light
I eventually included my MOOC activities quizzes and
exercisesrsquo due dates on my study timetable
Everything became so integrated that after a while
there was a smooth and gradual flow both within the
MOOC course and my own studies
Initially I mostly made use of my own knowledge of the
content since I already completed most of it in class
When I eventually had a look at the lecture videos was
I amazed I even had to admit this to myself honestly
these lecturers presented the content on the various
calculus topics better than my own lecturer did
The lecture presentations were so well presented that I
actually ended up using the videos for my own studies at
the University This served as great help and it was and
still is excellent study material for my semester tests and
examination that will be coming up
MOOC - knowledge building
91 found that it greatly increased their
knowledge in their chosen topic
49 was pleasantly surprised with how
much they enjoyed their MOOC

there was a smooth and gradual flow both within the
MOOC course and my own studies
Initially I mostly made use of my own knowledge of the
content since I already completed most of it in class
When I eventually had a look at the lecture videos was
I amazed I even had to admit this to myself honestly
these lecturers presented the content on the various
calculus topics better than my own lecturer did
The lecture presentations were so well presented that I
actually ended up using the videos for my own studies at
the University This served as great help and it was and
still is excellent study material for my semester tests and
examination that will be coming up

ldquoIt is great to actually realize how many teachers there are around the globe To see the passion that they show towards their profession and the pleasure they receive from itrdquo ldquoIt was nice to see that teachers all over the world come together and aim to be better educators it gave me a feeling of unity and pride because we are not always appreciated but we do a very important job and seeing that so many different people across the world working together for the same common goal was inspiring and comfortingrdquo
ldquoI realized in creating my PLN that I not only can learn from the others but that I can give back through creating my own communities and inviting teachers to share their ideas with me and the othersrdquo ldquoWhat I enjoyed most was learning great new ways to improve my teaching I was inspired by all the networks for teachers and it also gave me a feeling that I am not alonerdquo ldquoMy PLNs will stay with me throughout my entire teaching career and will not only benefit me as a teacher it will also benefit my learners in my classroom environmentrdquo

49 was pleasantly surprised with how
much they enjoyed their MOOC

calculus topics better than my own lecturer did
The lecture presentations were so well presented that I
actually ended up using the videos for my own studies at
the University This served as great help and it was and
still is excellent study material for my semester tests and
examination that will be coming up

MOOC plans for the future
18 I will not be doing another MOOC in the
near future
53 I will be doing another MOOC soon
17 I am already busy with another MOOC
13 I am hooked for life
