POST TRAINING ADDRESSED TO FELDENKRAIS® PRACTITIONERS FELDENKRAIS® AND INTERPERSONAL NEUROBIOLOGY BECOMING A MINDFUL PRACTITIONER This posttraining will be preceded by two meetings held by Donna Ray in Milan: the conference “Interpersonal Neurobiology and Somatic Education in the Practice of Psychotherapy: A foundation for Psychotherapy and Somatic Practices”, which will take place at the Psychotherapy School of Transactional Analysis of Milan; the seminar “Interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), selfawareness of oneanother in the mindsight practice and the Feldenkrais® method” addressed to a mixed group of therapists and Feldenkrais® teachers. Common topics of these two meetings are Interpersonal Neurobiology, the Mindful Process, and The BodyMind Relation. The posttraining, compared to the contents of these two previous meetings, offers a specific path for Feldenkrais® teachers who are seeking to go deeply into the above mentioned topics and want to apply them in their Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) and Functional Integration®(FI) practice. Working in a small group will allow those present to have more chances to improve their knowledge and create enriching interactions with the other participants. The intimate contact with nature, the conviviality and the beauty of the location will facilitate your learning process in a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere: a study holiday in the heart of the Langa Astigiana (UNESCO World heritage), surrounded by the green hills of Asti, vineyards, woods, and medieval castles. “The science of Interpersonal Neurobiology applied to Awareness Through Movement® and Functional Integration® helps us to become clear about what we are doing as Feldenkrais® Practitioners.

POST  TRAINING  ADDRESSED  TO  FELDENKRAIS®  PRACTITIONERS

FELDENKRAIS®  AND  INTERPERSONAL  NEUROBIOLOGY    BECOMING  A  MINDFUL  PRACTITIONER

This  post-‐training  will  be  preceded  by  two  meetings  held  by  Donna  Ray  in  Milan:  the  conference  “Interpersonal  Neurobiology  and  Somatic  Education  in  the  Practice  of

Psychotherapy:  A  foundation  for  Psychotherapy  and  Somatic  Practices”,  which  will  take  place  at  the  Psychotherapy  School  of  Transactional  Analysis  of  Milan;  the  seminar  “Interpersonal  neurobiology  (IPNB),  self-‐awareness  of  oneanother  in  the  mindsight  practice  and  the  Feldenkrais®  method”  addressed  to  a  mixed  group  of  therapists

and  Feldenkrais®  teachers.  Common  topics  of  these  two  meetings  are  Interpersonal  Neurobiology,

the  Mindful  Process,  and  The  Body-‐Mind  Relation.    The  post-‐training,  compared  to  the  contents  of  these  two  previous  meetings,  offers  a  specific  path  for  Feldenkrais®  teachers  who  are  seeking  to  go  deeply  into  the  above-‐

mentioned  topics  and  want  to  apply  them  in  their  Awareness  Through  Movement®  (ATM)  and  Functional  Integration®  (FI)  practice.

Working  in  a  small  group  will  allow  those  present  to  have  more  chances  to  improve  their  knowledge  and  create  enriching  interactions  with  the  other  participants.

The  intimate  contact  with  nature,  the  conviviality  and  the  beauty  of  the  location  will  facilitate  your  learning  process  in  a  peaceful  and  relaxed  atmosphere:  a  study  holiday  in  the  heart  of  the  Langa  Astigiana  (UNESCO  World  heritage),  surrounded  by  the  green  hills

of  Asti,  vineyards,  woods,  and  medieval  castles.

“The  science  of  Interpersonal  Neurobiology  applied  to  Awareness  Through  Movement®  and  Functional  Integration®  helps  us  to  become  clear  about  what  we  are  doing

as  Feldenkrais®  Practitioners.

Feldenkrais’s  statement  “know  what  you  are  doing  so  you  can  do  what  you  want”  will  be  addressed  in  this  course.

Attention  is  the  elixir  of  neuro-‐plasticity.  We  will  spend  the  days  experimenting  with

relationship,  movement,  understanding  the  nervous  system  and  seeing  how  all  of  these  sub-‐systems  work  together  shaping  and  creating  new  patterns  of  behavior  in  ourselves  and

others.  By  sensitizing  ourselves  we  become  able  to  detect  the  subtleties  of  functional  movement,  emotion  and  communication  simultaneously.  Applying  this  information  to  your  ATM®  and  FI®  practice  will  benefit  you  and  your  students.  It  will  increase  your  ability  to  relate  to  others  within  our  Feldenkrais  frame  and  to  effectively  direct  your  attention  and  your  students  attention  to  maximize  change.  We  will  all  learn  and  benefit  personally  and

professionally  by  attending  this  course.”    Donna  Ray
