Experimenting with Shutter SpeedsBy George Roberts
Shutter Speed: 1/250
This image was taken with a fast shutter speed, this allows the flowing water to be still in the shot.
Shutter Speed: 1/1000
This shot was taken with a fast shutter speed, allowing Sam to be seeminglt floating as he jumps off the wall.
Shutter Speed: 1/4000This shot is of a sparking lighter and was taken with the fastest possible speed for the DSLR.
Here is a shot of a stone landing in a puddle. I like how the water globbulets are splashing up and how the camera could capture them at the exact moment due to the shutter speed. Shutter Speed: 1/1250
Shutter Speed: 1/500Here is a shot of a ping-pong paddle landing on a table. The fast shutter speed allowed the movement to be captured.
