“When we started developing
Fleur, our aim was to create
a paint easily usable on any
material, with a good coverage
and brushability.
As things progressed in the
search for these characteristics
we found an old recipe that
implied the use of a high
amount of very fine pigments and
a mix of minerals (especially
silicates) chosen for their
feature to refract light and
give the painted surface a
vibrant mattness.
THe resulT WAs exTrAorDinAry.
The more and more industrialized
production that had
characterized the paint industry
in the past few decades had us
focus on mere technicality,
almost forgetting the value of a
beautiful finish.
When i talk to our clients and
i feel their enthusiasm for this
product i recognize the
same passion that we put in
its development and i think this
is the greatest satisfaction.”

minerals, which makes it different from
traditional acrylic colors. The minerals
contained in the product capture the
light and they diffuse it on the surface
before refracting it.

The recipe of Fleur comes from a long
experience in restoration and decoration.
its excellent coverage and versatility
of use on any material has made of Fleur
the first choice of artists, professional
decorators and designers.
But maybe it is the extraordinarily matt
finish and the vibrancy of its colors what
makes Fleur unique.
We are often asked to compare the mattness of Fleur with other paints.
Any Fleur color has maximum a 2% sheen - a standard in itself very
difficult to get to - but what’s relevant is the fact it is impossible to
get such a matt finish with an acrylic paint not affecting the vibrancy of
colors.
The difference lies in the minerals contained in Fleur. In fact, we use
a selection of silicates and other fine minerals, which refract and
diffuse light on the painted surface. If you look at an object painted
with Fleur, you don’t see a flat, “synthetic” mattness but rather
diffused light. You have the visual sensation of sinking into color, and
the final effect is very natural.
When you catch this essential aesthetic difference, it’s hard to go back
to other colors.

enVironMenTnowadays we are witnessing a new awareness of
the environmental issues among the younger
generations. This has focused our attention
on waste and has led to new trends, both in
fashion and design, such as the “upcycling”,
or the transformation of disused objects and
waste materials into unique and original
artworks. it is a new form of functional art
that finds application in everyday life.
The new perspective given by “upcycling”
- which is basically the opposite of
“recycling” - has given birth to a new
“mantra” among artists and designers:
in harmony and in support of a more
sustainable attitude, we wanted to meet
the demand of a paint suitable on various
materials.
Moreover, we have adopted production methods
which would make it as environmentally
friendly as possible.
Hence the choice of a packaging made of glass
and cardboard which is 100% recyclable and
the reduction of VoC emissions to values
much lower than the legal minimum set by the
institutions.

uPCyClinG:The term “upcycling” was
coined to express an
alternative to “recycling”,
which often indicates
the “downcycling” of
objects made of plastic,
wood, paper, which are
further processed in
order to obtain new raw
materials, usually of lower
quality.
upcycling indicates instead
the transformation of old
materials and disused
objects into new objects
of higher value, both from
a qualitative, economic
and environmental point of
view.
