Assemble your equipment and supplies.

Dust mop the area.

Put on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Prepare your stripping solution water.

Post “Wet Floor” signs and other blockades.

If you are using an autoscrubber, fill with cool water.

Remove freestanding objects. Vacuum and remove walk-off mats.

Apply foaming stripper to baseboards, if necessary. Prepare to control liquid flow.

Floor Stripping (continued)

Apply stripping solution.

Check your progress.

Allow the stripping solution to work before scrubbing.

Rinse the floor and pick up the slurry.

Loosen finish on baseboards and corners.

Or use an auto scrubber to rinse and pick up slurry.

Scrub with floor machine or auto scrubber.

Floor Stripping (continued)

Rinse the floor again before the floor dries.

If using an auto scrubber, clean and return to appropriate area.

If using an auto scrubber, apply water and scrub rinse.

Clean your shoes, clothes, and wash hands.

When the floor is dry, check your work.

Clean your equipment and return it to its appropriate area.

Floor Finishing/Sealing

Assemble your equipment and supplies.

Pour enough sealer or finish for the area.

Note: Skip this step if using a ProSpeedTM/MC or TrailBlazerTM/MC.

Put on appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Dip mop head into the finish or sealer.

Post “Wet Floor” signs and other blockades.

Apply the finish or sealer.

Prepare your mop and bucket.

Normally drying takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the finish or sealer.

Number each coat. Apply additional finish or sealer coats until desired appearance is achieved.

Discard liner and leftover finish, clean equipment.

Routine Cleaning

Assemble your equipment and supplies.

Dust mop the floor and remove gum.

Put on appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Prepare your cleaning solution.

Post “Wet Floor” signs or blockades.

Damp mop light soils.

Remove freestanding objects and trash. Vacuum and remove walk-off mats.

Wet mop heavy soils.

Deep Scrubbing

Assemble your equipment and supplies.

Dust mop the entire floor.

Put on appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Post “Wet Floor” signs or other blockades.

Rotary Machine: When using a rotary machine, liberally apply cleaning solution to the floor.

Note: Rotary floor scrubbing.

Remove freestanding objects and trash. Vacuum and remove walk-off mats.

Rotary Machine: For heavy buildup, allow the cleaning solution to dwell for additional time.

Prepare your cleaning solution.

Autoscrubber

If using an auto scrubber, fill the solution tank with cleaning solution.

Trail mop with clean water and a clean mop head.

Scrub light soils (before burnishing or buffing).

Use an edging tool to clean soils along the wall or on baseboards, if necessary.

When double-scrub heavy soils or damaged finish (before recoating).

Autoscrubber: For heavy soils or damaged finish, a second scrub (before recoating) is necessary.

Rotary and Autoscrubbers

Wipe down baseboards and kick plates.

When the floor is dry, check your work.

Clean and put away equipment.

Remove “Wet Floor” signs when dry.

Spray Buffing

Assemble your equipment and supplies.

Mount a red buffing pad on the rotary floor machine.

Put on appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Post “Wet Floor” signs.

Make three passes.

Dust mop the entire floor.

Change pads as necessary.

Apply spray buff solution in a coarse spray.

Ultra High Speed (UHS) Burnishing

Assemble your equipment and supplies.

Mount the appropriate pad on your UHS burnisher.

Put on appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Post “Wet Floor” signs or blockades.

Change pads as necessary.

Dust mop and damp mop or autoscrub the floor.

Dust mop after burnishing.

Make ONE pass over the work area.
