The heat of ame is absorbed by the ame element where very high surface area is provided for immediate heat transfer. It has no moving parts and the custom designed ame element gives the necessary protection from ame ash back. Whereas the ame propagation is blocked through the ame elements, the gases can pass through them easily have minimum pressure drop. This is ensured by having large ow area available to gases in ame blank. Under normal operating conditions the ame arrestor permits a relatively free ow of gas or vapor through the piping system. If the mixture is ignited and the ame begins to travel back through the piping, the arrestor will prohibit the ame from moving back to the gas source. It has wound crimped metal ribbon type ame cell element which has the dimensions below MESG of the liquid or vapor and hence arrests the ow of ame front through it & hence prohibits further ow of ame if any. About Flame Arrestor

Flame Arrestors are Passive Devices with no moving parts. They

Process Description

Flame arrestors block the propagation of ame passing through it. The
