Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education & Sports Sciences invites application on theprescribedformat for the post of Assistant Professor to be filed as Guest Teacher in the areasof PhysicalEducationas per the details given below:-

Categorywise detail of the posts to be filled is given hereunder:

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (PHYSICAL EDUCATION):

Qualifications as prescribed bv the Executive Council. Universitv of Delhi dated 28.05.2015:

(ii) In colleges where Under Graduate Programme Le. B.P.Ed. is offered, guidelines given byNational Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) shall apply. M.P.Ed. degree or itsequivalent with 55% marks or its equivalent grade Le. B in the seven point scale of lettergrades 0, A. B, C, D, E, F as per UGC norms.

Note: Any other stipulation prescribed by UGC/Universityfrom time to time for the positionof Assistant Professor (Physical Education) shall be mandatory.

Qualifications as prescribed bv the UGC:

(iii)Master's Degree in Physical Education with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade and.

(iv) Any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC in the general norms including a pass inNET/SLET/SET prescribed in these regulations shall be mandatory.

GENERALINSTRUCTIONSTO THECANDIDATESAPPLYINGFORTHEPOSTOFASSISTANTPROFESSORIN PHYSICALEDUCATION:

1. Relaxations if any shall be granted to the candidates belonging to reserved categories asper University of Delhi/UGC Rules.

2. Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system isfollowed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.

3. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degreeholders,who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.

4. The number of candidates to be called for interview for the teaching posts in the Universityand its Colleges, shall be determined after screening of applications in accordancewith theguidelines laid down by the Executive Council in this behalf.

5. Retired teachers will also be considered for appointment as Guest Teachers.

6. The candidatesalready in service must apply through proper channel.

7. The College reserves its right not to fill any or all the post(s) advertised.

8. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility conditions does not entitle the candidates to becalled for interview. The applications received shall be screened in accordance with theguidelines laid down by the University in this regard, to restrict the number of candidates.

9. Candidates/Facultyto be considered for appointmentas Guest Teacher shall be required tosubmit an undertaking to the following effect:-

a) that he/she is not in receipt of an full time Fellowship / Award / Scholarship forbiddinghim/her to accept any employment.

b) if Faculty he/she will be required to submit a letter issued by the HOD/Principal to theeffect that the teacher concerned will be assigned workload in his/her ownDepartment/College/Centre,as per norms and the Department/College has no objectionto his/her being considered as Guest Teacher.

c) that bio-data of the applicant must include hislher PAN Number/Employee Number.

d) applicant must indicate his/her Bank details Le. name of the Bank and its branch, IFSCCode,Alc. No. as payment will be made through RTGS.

e) that he/she will abide by the guidelines already issued by the University/UGCfrom timeto time in this regard.

10.Applicants may directly appear before the Selection Committee for Interview onscheduled date and time with their application complete in all respects & dulysupported by documents/testimonials.

11.Addendum/Corrigendum/Correctionsif any shall be posted on the College/DU website only.

12. Prescribed application form may be downloaded from Institute'slDelhi Universitywebsite.

13. For the judicial adjudication of disputes, if any, will be subject to the jurisdiction of theCourts in New Delhi only.
