Depending on the job task, the following PPE must be worn to ensure adequate safety: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Personal flotaon devices Head protecon Eye and face protecon Hearing protecon Protecve footwear Fall protecon equipment Fishing Vessel Name: Date: Captain Name: This document is meant to be a quick reference to the relevant PEI Occupaonal Health and Safety Act and Regulaon requirements. It is not a substute for reviewing the applicable provincial and federal legislaon and regulaons. First Aid Supplies, Equipment, and Training The following informaon is readily available to the crew: First aid training cerficates are current and available First Aid Kits are of adequate size, readily available, and stocked Hot surfaces are shielded to prevent burns All equipment is in proper working order Equipment is safeguarded to prevent entanglement Reporng a serious incident informaon is posted (OHS 24 Hour Emergency Line 902-628-7513) PEI OHS Act and Regulaons Emergency phone number or contact informaon Crew safety orientaon checklist has been completed for each crew member Emergency Preparedness Life buoy, aached with 15 m of polypropylene rope at least 10 mm in diameter Boat hook Portable fire exnguisher The following emergency equipment is on board: General Housekeeping Passageways and work areas are clear of cluer Loose materials are fastened and secured Lifejackets, PFDs and all PPE are inspected and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instrucons and recommendaons.
