The brochure describes special Church funds and provides guidance on means for giving and the tax advantages to the donor. Of particular importance are our Church’s Capital Fund and the Fund for Benevolence. The Capital Fund provides for capital expenditures related to the Church’s physical structure. Adding to the growth of the Capital Fund enables the Church to meet sudden financial re- quirements in excess of the forecasted budget. Reaching out to those less fortunate has always been a meaningful, and successful, focus of our Church. The Benevolence Fund supports projects recom- mended by the Global Missions Committee and the Community Service Committee. Recently our Church gratefully received several significant memorials and gifts in memory of David Bryan Sloan, Jr. which allowed us to create The Gathering Place, a very special place to enhance our Church fel- lowship and worship. The greatest reward from a special gift or Planned Giving bequest is the knowledge that it will continue to benefit our Church. If you would like more information on Planned Giving please indicate your interest on the card in the pew. I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

+RESPONSE (491) BAPTIZED IN CHRIST You have put on Christ; In Christ you have been baptized. Alleluia! Alleluia! We have put on Christ; In Christ we have been baptized. Alleluia! Alleluia!

PRAYER OF CONFESSION Gracious God, you have blessed us with the gift of your very own Spirit, which binds us together as one people of faith, one community chartered in love. And yet we see in the story of our faith so many chapters in which we have failed to give witness to your love, to embody your grace, or to walk in the light of your ways. We have too often allowed fear, pride, greed, or simple apathy to turn us away from our purpose. We have neglected the calling of our baptism. Have mercy, we pray. Make us new by your grace. Accomplish in us all that you will for the world, to the glory of your holy name...

SILENT PRAYER

Candlyn Thee we adore, O hidden Savior, thee, who at this blessed feast art pleased to be; both flesh and spirit in they presence fail, yet here thy presence we devoutly hail. O blest memorial of our dying Lord, who living bread to all doth here afford! O may our souls forever feed on thee, and thou, O Christ, forever precious be! Fountain of goodness, Jesus, Lord and God, cleanse us, unclean, with thy most cleansing blood; increase our faith and love, that we may know the hope and peace which from thy presence flow. O Christ, whom now beneath a veil we see, may what we thirst for soon our portion be, to gaze on thee unveiled, and see thy face, the vision of thy glory and thy grace.
