The artist to for this music video is a typical rnb artist who wears clothes that wed expect an rnb artist to wear such as chains, hats, cropped shirts etc. The artist in this music video contradicts the selling point of what rnb artist are typically seen to wear as she wear light, graceful see through draped clothing along with ballet shoes to reflect the elegance and importance of the lyrics on women. As this artist is well known and had a vast fan base the elegance of this music video could be put out there to try and gain a wider target audience by the interpretations of the music video. This could be interpreted in different ways, for example in Stuart Halls Reception theory, the audience can get different messages from the music video; the fact that she dances in minimal clothing can have dominant views on what the audience sees and ca make them agree with the genre however the fact that she wears light weight see through clothing can indicate she wants to be more graceful which uses the negotiated part of the theory that inclines the audience being neither for or against the genre of the music video.
