User StoryIn a city, the traffic lights are important part of
traffic management. A traffic commissioner needs tomonitor the
traffic at each light. Based on the accidents or road work, the
diversions need to be planned.
Also, the commissioner needs to monitor if any light needs
maintenance or if they are malfunctioning, andtake the necessary
action accordingly. The traffic flow needs to be monitored and if
any drastic change inthe traffic flow or a pattern of flow is being
followed then the frequency of light change need to beprogrammed
accordingly.
Performing these day to day activities by the traffic
commissioner and his team is very vital in order tokeep the city
transit system calm and optimized. This also makes sure that other
departments of theurban planning and commission could complete
their planned activities.
To perform these activities a member of the team need to be
communicated about the other departmentplans. For any maintenance,
the team members need to inspect each and every lights manually on
theirperformance through their control stations. The traffic in any
city is increasing three folds or four folds yearon year. There is
a need for an aid and tool to quickly get information or analysis
on these lights so thatthe commissioner team can act upon.
