Fintech News Octubre 2014Zuum extiende sus servicios de pagos móviles a todas las operadoras de Brasil. La joint venture entre MasterCard y el operador móvil brasileño Vivo amplió el servicio a todos los operadores de telefonía móvil en el Brasil, que suponen más de 70 millones de smartphones activos en ese país. Hasta ahora, sólo los clientes de Telefónica Vivo tenían acceso a la cuenta de cheques en el teléfono. La Cuenta Zuum permite la realización de pagos de facturas y transferencias de dinero a través de los teléfonos móviles y el uso de una tarjeta de prepago Mastercard para compras y retiros. Noviembre 2014La Asociación Brasileña de Empresas de Tarjetas de Crédito y Servicios (ABECS) trabaja en la unificación de las redes de pagos dado el alto y creciente porcentaje de transacciones realizadas por medio de tarjetas, con el propósito de que las tarjetas sean aceptadas en cualquier POS sin importar que la red de pagos sea Visa, Mastercard, American Express o las brasileñas Cielo y Elo. El Banco Santander adquiere un 5% de la plataforma de banca móvil Monitise por 41,6 millones de euros a través de Santander Innoventures, fondo de innovación en servicios financieros que se presentó en julio de 2014 y que busca facilitar el crecimiento de una oferta digital global del banco. Otros socios estratégicos de Monitise son Mastercard y Telefónica.Diciembre 2014Banco de Chile lanza la app Mi Pago para realizar transferencias de dinero entre clientes del banco a través de la generación de un código QR asociado a una cuenta, reduciendo los pasos y tiempo de tus transacciones sin necesidad de digitar los datos de la cuenta de destino.
