1 I would add more opportunities for refresher courses and I would seek toconsider the financial impact on referees by requiring multiple event participationin order to qualify for international event recommendation. Unless of course yousimply have too many IRs looking for work :).

    Apr 14, 2011 4:56 PM

2 A good IR should have a sharp eves and sharp mind. Knows how to manage amatches without hesitation.

3 I received certification to learn more and encourage others to participate. I havenot been an active referee since receiving certification in 2002.

4 Great job! I will be very interested to see the results. Mar 22, 2011 7:03 AM

5 A referee group picture was taken from 1984 - 2002 at every USTU National Jr.,Sr. and US Open event. Currently text records of that period of who officiated ishard to come by. But, all of these photos are in the hands of all United StatesReferees. We need to address this graphic record resource!

    Mar 5, 2011 7:10 PM

6 I would be interested in learning the outcome of the survey. Just an FYI, onquestion 6.2 or 6.b about having coached a competitor at juniors or seniors - theanswer is no, BUT I have coached competitors who medaled at both collegiatenationals and "ultras."

    Mar 5, 2011 2:30 PM

7 The question on outside the US may be better divided by region, pan am asopposed to other regions and include non sactioned events since in the pastthere were many non sactioned opens that IR s would regularly attend.

    Mar 4, 2011 11:34 AM

8 Given that many of us were TKD players it may help to have an additional choice

between Collegiate and Professional competition experience if you revise this. Ichose Collegiate. Not many pros out there even among medalists.

    Mar 3, 2011 11:45 AM

9 I am curious about the outside areas of expertise, ie how many MD's, lawyers, teachers, engineers, etc make up the referee corps.

12 I am not currently an IR, tho that is one of my goals. The posting I initially sawon the TRUE website did not mention the IR requirement. Today I saw moredetailed information on the discussion board. I apologize for not having read all

    the requirements earlier.
