Three years ago, the congregation embarked on an ambitious $1.87 million “Living the Legacy” Capital Campaign. The intention of this eort was to provide funds:

• To install an accessible elevator from the Rand Chapel entrance to the sanctuary and to Tull Hall;

• To reconfigure the entryway to Rand Chapel to be a more gracious and welcoming space;

• To repair some sanctuary windows and to replace the old, acrylic coverings with energy ecient glass coverings;

• To improve the main entrance from Washington Street with a safer landing, new doors, and to repair broken tiles in the vestibule for both safety and hospitality.

Living the Legacy • To replace over 300 windows in the Campbell-Eagan Building that dated back to the 1910s with functional and energy ecient windows;

• To establish two $30,000 seed endowment funds – one for future repair to the sanctuary’s stained glass windows and one for Pastoral Leadership.

As of today, all projects are complete.

We have a great new elevator, a more accessible sanctuary and fellowship hall, energy efficient windows in the sanctuary and in the Campbell-Eagan building, and two seed funds to grow in the years ahead.

This campaign would not have been so sucessfully completed without the outstanding leadership of Hugh Landrum as he managed the project so tightly to produce high quality work within budget.

In the Living the Legacy campaign, members pledged $1,963,864. As of May 31 , gifts of $1651,110 have been recieved. 2015 is the scheduled year of completion of giving for the remaining pledges of $312,754. By year’s end, we will have recieved gifts that will almost completely pay the cost of the projects, including the added expense for painting the exterior of the sanctuary.

We consider this a roaring success and are honored to have served as the chairs of this “Living the Legacy” Campaign.
