There are loads of different ways you can do your final drawing, as a presentation drawing or a product specification Here are some ideas and examples. Don’t forget to annotate in detail your product
specifications drawings.
First we are going to look at presentation drawings. One way of presenting your final design is to support it with a photograph or illustration related to the use of the product i.e. the bag. Here’s some examples of backgrounds you could use for your final drawing. You could cut images out of magazines that go with the function of your bag, Surfing, Skiing, Shopping, Cycling…the list is endless also it is a quick way to improve presentation

Final presentation drawing is a way of drawing your ideas to make them look as good as possible. You need to ensure that the drawing is to the best standard you can achieve. Once you have drawn your final idea cut it out carefully and add a background.

Pick a good background that
has something to do with the bag’s function. As thepicture helps support the design. Think where you’ll be placing your image. Remember the division of three rule we looked at in design strategies.

Product Specification – these drawings show the dimensions, fabric and components needed to manufacture the bag design. It needs to contain enough detail so that another person could make the product from the drawings.

Include:
Detailed measurements of all aspects of the bag:
• Length, width.
• Placement of decorative features – ribbons, buttons etc.
• hems, seams, handles
