Zara Yaffe Production Photo Diary – Alley Way These pictures are snapshots of my actual raw footage I have filmed and are in my opening title sequence after being edited. In these snapshots, Declan is walking away from the camera, almost as though he is being stalked or followed by someone behind him and he wants to get away from them. Some of these are close up shots, medium shots, long shots and also tracking shots. The first challenge I came across was the tracking shots. At first, the tracking shots were somewhat difficult to film. This is due to the fact that the camera doesn’t react well when it’s being moved while shooting and sort of jolts. I resolved this issue by walking slower so that the camera isn’t moving so much. Even though it shows on the screen on the camera as barely moving, once uploaded onto the computer and reviewed thoroughly, I could see that it was jolting and didn’t look professional. I had redone the faulty shots anyway at the time to make sure I could have a range of shots and camera angles and thus deleted those shots I did not need or want. The range of camera angles were taken in order to keep the audience interested in watching. If the scenes were the same one after another then the audience would become less interested and bored of watching. I needed to keep the audience’s attention and so I chose to do this by using a range of camera angles. The long shots where I just had the camera on the tripod while I clicked record and kept the shot in focus were much less difficult to film. I didn’t have any problems or challenges with this type of shot and found that I achieved this with less work as it presented fewer issues and complications than the tracking shots. None of this footage needed to be re-filmed as it all came across in a satisfactory way that I was pleased with and could use in my opening title sequence. I feel this footage came across as professional which was the main task of this project and so I am satisfied and pleased with.

Production Photo Diary – Alley Way

These pictures are snapshots of my actual raw footage I have filmed and are in my opening title sequence after being edited. In these snapshots, Declan is walking away from the camera, almost as though he is being stalked or followed by someone behind him and he wants to get away from them.
