GRADES 7-11

At St. Martin de Tours, religious education for youth in grades 7th through 11th takes place on

Sunday evenings immediately following the 5:00pm mass each year in the Fall for 8 weeks.

Students are expected to attend the 5:00pm mass and classes will end by 7:00pm. We highly

recommend that parents attend the formation classes with their children.

The classes are scheduled as follows: Sunday, Aug. 20 Sunday, Aug. 27 Sunday, Sept. 3 (NO CLASS/LABOR DAY) Sunday, Sept. 10 Sunday, Sept. 17 Sunday, Sept. 24 Sunday, Oct. 1 Sunday, Oct. 8 Sunday, Oct. 15 There is no fee to attend religious education classes here at St. Martin de Tours. A donation of $20 per class can be made to the church to help cover the cost of supplies.

CONFIRMATION 2017 Why should I be confirmed?

Confirmation completes the Sacraments of Initiation in our Catholic Church. Those who are confirmed receive the

fullness of God’s Holy Spirit to assist them in their lives. Canon Law is clear that those who wish to serve as sponsors

(godparents) at Baptism MUST have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Diocesan policy also states that

those who enter into the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony should be confirmed.

Anyone 16 years of age or older can register to participate in our Confirmation Formation

Program which is required to be confirmed here at Saint Martin de Tours.

Confirmation Classes Begin On Sunday, August 20th, 2017 5:00PM-7:00PM.

GRADES 1-6

At St. Martin de Tours, religious education for children in grades 1st through 6th takes

place on four Saturday classes held each year in the Fall. We require parents to attend the formation classes with their

children.

The classes are scheduled as follows: Saturday, Aug. 19th: 9am-12 noon Saturday, Aug. 26th: 9am-12 noon Saturday, Sept. 9th: 9am-12 noon Saturday, Sept. 16th: 9am-12 noon

There is no fee to attend religious education classes here at St. Martin de Tours. A donation of $20 per class can be made to the church to

help cover the cost of supplies and meals.

PLEASE NOTE: All minor children MUST be accompanied by an adult relative for all

classes-no exceptions.

FIRST COMMUNION 2017 First Communion candidates will follow the same schedule has Grades 1-6. There will be

two mandatory retreats during the Fall & Spring for First Communion candidates to

attend. Dates to follow.
