We invite you to our 3rd annual Wolfe Farms Fleckvieh Bull sale on Wednesday, April 2nd at 1:00 pm. We would like to thank all of our buy-ers, bidders and all who attended of our previous bull sales.

The beef industry is changing fast and it is hard to know where it is going to be in 5 – 10 years. I believe the days of cheap barley may be long gone. We need to produce calves that can grade on a higher forage ration, with less barley. The calves have to not only grade with less grain but they have to do it in less days. Having some fl eckvieh in those feeder animals is going to be a fi nancial advantage. The word “Fleckvieh” is being used more all the time and is continuing to interest cattle buyers & feedlots.

The bulls we are selling may be Full Fleck, Fullblood or Purebred on paper but they all have multiple generations of Fleckvieh breeding. The

”Fleckvieh Type” is the focus of our program.

We hope you can fi nd time to come to our sale and pick out a bull that will cross well on your cows. With a later sale date, we are able to provide you with quality bulls, without pushing them too hard. These bulls are ready to go to work and will still be able to work for many years.

With all the bulls on the same feeding program, it gives you, the buyer, the advantage of judging them in equal conditions. This will make it easier to fi nd the bull(s) that will work for you.

Sales Management CommentsUndoubtedly, one of the hardest working young couples I’ve ever met is Tony and Lisa Wolfe. No matter how many irons Tony has in the fi re, his passion for Fleckvieh Simmental comes honestly from his pedigree.

This third annual bull sale will again see a cross section two year olds and yearlings as in the past. This is rapidly becoming one of the more reputable sales for Simmental in the Peace Country. Much like the Dawson Creek Select Simmental bull sale that happens the day prior to Wolfe Farms Bull Sale, commercial cattlemen are becoming more aware of the value and quality available closer to their own respective breeding season.
