WELCOME / CROESO It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the second  Whitchurch and T ongwynlais Festiv al! For the past 37 years there has been a summer festival fortnight in Whitchurch, chaired until 2013 by my late grandfather Winston Grifths, and in recognising the close relationship between Whitchurch and Tongwynlais we have brought two village events together for a second year. Having undertaken the role as Chairman of the Festival and also of the Whitchurch Community Centre I want to say a big thank you to all those who have worked incredibly hard yet again to make this festival fortnight a success, in particular: Sheila Williams, Wayne Brewer, Nicola Callan, Mike Jones-Pritchard, Linda Morgan, Keith Moger, Shirley Platts, Julie Woods, Caroline Lunn, Ann Perry, Steve Finch and all our friends at the Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast. Again this year I would like to thank the Rotary Club who are organising the grand rafe. There are many organisations and individuals throughout Whitchurch and Tongwynlais who support us including our churches, businesses, local shops, the schools, our pubs and charities. I am as ever grateful to  them for the community spirit and their sense of fun in being in involve d in our festival, contributing to events and providing sponsorship. In particular I want to thank the Jenkins Suzuki and Mitsubishi dealership who are our main festival sponsors this year. Finally, as we rely on the support of volunteers to deliver the Whitchurch and Tongwynlais Festival it would be terric if you would get involved in helping us to organise our festival for next year. It does take a lot of organising which is made easier if we had more people to help. I hope that you join in and enjoy the many activities that have been arranged across the two weeks and in doing so celebrate what both villages have to offer. WELCOME / CROESOIt is a great pleasure to welcome you to the second

 Whitchurch and Tongwynlais Festival!

For the past 37 years there has been a summer festival fortnight in

Whitchurch, chaired until 2013 by my late grandfather Winston Grifths,

and in recognising the close relationship between Whitchurch and

Tongwynlais we have brought two village events together for a second

year.

Having undertaken the role as Chairman of the Festival and also of the

Whitchurch Community Centre I want to say a big thank you to all those

who have worked incredibly hard yet again to make this festival fortnight

a success, in particular: Sheila Williams, Wayne Brewer, Nicola Callan,Mike Jones-Pritchard, Linda Morgan, Keith Moger, Shirley Platts, Julie

Woods, Caroline Lunn, Ann Perry, Steve Finch and all our friends at the

Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast. Again this year I would like to thank the

Rotary Club who are organising the grand rafe.

There are many organisations and individuals throughout Whitchurch

and Tongwynlais who support us including our churches, businesses,

local shops, the schools, our pubs and charities. I am as ever grateful to

them for the community spirit and their sense of fun in being in involved

in our festival, contributing to events and providing sponsorship. In

particular I want to thank the Jenkins Suzuki and Mitsubishi dealership

who are our main festival sponsors this year.

organising which is made easier if we had more people to help.

I hope that you join in and enjoy the

many activities that have been arranged
