FESTIVAL JAZZ ROJA III – April 2018 – Arona
Summary
Festival Jazz Roja was launched in South Tenerife in 2014, with 15 free entry open air
concerts featuring Jazz, Blues, Soul, Jazz-Funk, Bossa Nova, World Fusion and Swing. The
festival was repeated in 2015, with a further 15 concerts. Both festivals were held in El
Médano, South Tenerife) and in each edition, every concert received full attendance from a
cosmopolitan audience.
To allow for the festival to expand, the organizers have chosen to relocate Festival Jazz Roja
to Los Cristianos,(Arona) for its 3rd edition. It will take place in April 2018, with 30 free
entry open air concerts and various parallel activities.

Free entry, open air concerts, available for everyone to enjoy.
Musical diversity; a vast array of sub-genres of Jazz.
A selection of extremely talented local artists can perform with national and
international artists.
The project is funded by logistical support from the local authorities, combines with
revenue from sponsorship and local business participation.
The project is organized by non-profit making cultural associations, dedicated to
promoting regional artists to an international audience.
The project was founded by Qfm 94.3, Spain’s only Radio station 100% dedicated to
Jazz.
How does Festival Jazz Roja promote itself?
Qfm 94.3, broadcasting in South Tenerife since 2005, and online with over 500,000
listener sessions monthly.
Internet / Social Netwoks. Via the festival’s website www.jazzroja.com and the
Facebook pages of Qfm and Jazz Roja with a combined following of over 18.000
followers).
Programs, Posters, Billboards. Over 20.000 programs (A5/ 40 pages in 6 languages) will
be distributed in key points in Tenerife.
Various regional newspaper campaigns (Spanish, English, German, Italian).

6th April: Opening of Festival Jazz Roja 2018 (La Plaza De La Pescadora – Los Cristianos
Beach).
7th to 12th April: Ruta de Jazz (Concerts held each evening in different venues within the
Arona Municipality).
13th/14th April: (Special Genre Theme Nights).
15th to 19t April: Continuation of Ruta del Jazz.
20th/21st April: Main Concert Nights (La Plaza del Pescador, Central Los Cristianos) 4
concerts each night with extra activities.
