FORM T - DUE FEBRUARY 1, 2015 – Troie Burch, President Elect

Each year we ask that you coordinate with your treasurer to provide information about your club that the Federation needs to keep our records up-to-date with the IRS. Most of the 111 clubs have exemption from Federal income tax through the Federation’s determination as a 501 (c) (3) organization. As the parent tax-exempt organization, the Federation is required to furnish the IRS with a complete listing of subordinate groups - our local clubs - each year. We collect current information about each club through our FORM T. FORM T is for Federation internal record keeping only. FORM T is not filed with the IRS. Returning the FORM T to the Federation does not exempt your club from filing a Form 990 return with the IRS. See the Federation website (www.AggieMoms.org) for the current FORM T.

To ensure that your club remains covered under the Federation exemption, please provide the following information on FORM T: Access Form T after January 25, 2015 on our website - http://aggiemoms.aggienetwork.com/forms/formt

o EIN (Employer Identification Number)

o Current Club address and contact information

o A brief summary statement of your purpose and activities

o Sources of financial support – describe three fund raising projects

o Description of your expenditures – describe three ways that your fund raising money is spent

o Confirmation that your club is current with its Form 990 return

o Confirmation that your club’s Federation Dues for the current year have been paid – along with a copy of FORM B (dues payment) . Access Form B after January 25, 2015 at – http://aggiemoms.aggienetwork.com/forms/formb

REMINDER: Proposed by-law changes, including a dues increase, will be presented for approval at

the Federation meeting January 24, 2015. You will be notified as to the amount of dues per member

immediately following the meeting so that the submission of your club’s Form B along with payment of dues can be remitted timely. Form B will also be posted on the Federation website at this time.

Dues:

• Postmarked by February 1, 2015 (and after the by-laws vote on January 24, 2015),

A Tribute to Wanda Pauler and A Tribute to Wanda Pauler and A Tribute to Wanda Pauler and A Tribute to Wanda Pauler and

Rachel GonzalesRachel GonzalesRachel GonzalesRachel Gonzales Two very special individuals were recognized during the Federation meeting in August. Their families were presented with proclamations and memorable moments through photos as seen here. Wanda Pauler served on the Federation board, where she held every elected office and also served as Federation President from 1979-1980. She passed away surrounded by family and caregivers on December 18, 2013. Wanda was not only known for her resourcefulness and ingenuity, but was regarded as someone who would always go the extra mile. Wanda will always be remembered for her loving, generous, and kind spirit. Wanda is survived by her sons Bobby and Don and their families. Don and his wife Terrie and their children joined us on this special day. Many of you had the great pleasure of knowing and working with Rachel Gonzales during her many years of serving the Federation. Rachel went to her eternal rest on June 15, 2014. Rachel’s seventy-nine year association with Texas A&M University began in 1935 when the first of her eight brothers enrolled at the University. She was an Aggie Sister, Aggie Wife, Aggie Aunt, and an Aggie Mom. Rachel was a member of the San Antonio Aggie Mom Club, serving as President from 1974-1975. She served as President of the Federation of Texas A&M Mothers’ Clubs in 1983-1984 and was Chairperson of the Federation’s Former Presidents from 1991-2013. Rachel began her teaching career with 1st grade and later earned a Library Science degree and worked as a librarian until her retirement in 1986; with 35 years of service in public schools….but didn’t stop there and continued to work as a substitute teacher and librarian until 2006. Rachel gave of her time, her money, her enthusiasm, and her loyalty to many organizations. She was a kind-hearted, wise, remarkable woman, beloved by many people, including her Aggie Mom friends. She exemplified our slogan, “Once an Aggie Mom, Always an Aggie Mom.”

Rachel is survived by her loving son, Robert, class of 1953, who joined us on this special day.

where the meeting was held, then a walking tour of old El Paso where we learned a lot of El Paso history and about all the architectural buildings, shopped at the Junior League's Christmas Affair and ended the day with drinks and visiting under the dome of the historical El Camino Real Hotel. Thank you to Joyce Lieb, Meeting

Robert Gonzales –A Kind and Generous SPIRIT! People come in and out of our lives daily, but Rachel Gonzales, mother to Robert, has passed on and instilled her

many values and attributes leading Robert to honor and remember his mother in a generous way. As many of you fondly remember, Rachel, Federation President during 1983-1984, passed away earlier this

year. In honor of her, Robert graciously offered a donation to the Federation of Texas A&M Mothers’ Clubs in the amount of $7,745.76. He says, “Rachel loved the Federation and everybody in it very much; it was a big part of her life here on earth for many, many years, and I want it to continue to be so.”

Robert, on behalf of the Federation, we are so honored and privileged to have known your wonderful mother. She was an inspiration to all! Thank you for your kind and generous spirit. Her legacy will live on. Please see photo below, which includes Carolyn Phelan, Linda Schmidt, Robert Gonzales, Jeanne Harrell, and Troie Burch during their visit with Robert in San Antonio.
