The annual Catholic Service Appeal collection will be next weekend.
We must remember that we are one with other parishes in our diocese.
Once a year, our Bishop asks us to respond in gratitude by making a commitment to support
the work of our diocesan programs and ministries that provide services that no one parish could provide on its
own. Through the CSA we all work together to care for the Church by sharing the gifts God has granted us.
Let us follow in the footsteps of Sister Thea Bowman and celebrate our Catholic faith and work together to
continue to build God’s kingdom.
Congratulations to the newly baptized!!
Felicidades a los recién bautizados!

PROTECTING GOD’S CHILDREN is the program
used by our diocese to care for our children and make
them safe in our churches and church buildings. One of
the directives given to us by our bishop is that no child
may be anywhere in our buildings without adult
supervision. Therefore, when your children need to leave
Mass for the bathroom we ask that you accompany them.
No child should be in the bathrooms alone or with other
children without an adult present.

Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time. February 7, 2021. [The LORD] tells the number of the stars and calls them by name. — Psalm 147:4
OPENING SONG: Come, Let Us Sing with Joy to the Lord. # 739.

Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! R
Great is the Lord and worthy of praise: Sing to the Lord and bless his name:
Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! R
All that has life and breath shall rejoice: Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord!
The great and the small, all creatures of God:
Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! R
Refrain : Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord! Shout to the rock of our salvation!
Come, let us greet him with a song of praise, for great is our God, the King of all kings!
Come, let us sing with joy to the Lord!

CREED
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in
one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from
Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin
Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and
rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand
of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I
believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father
and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and
apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
PREPARATION SONG Shelter me, O God. # 634.
When my foes surround me, set me high above their reach.
Hear me when I call your name. R
As a mother gathers her young beneath her care,
gather me into your arms. R
Though I walk in darkness, through the needle’s eye of death,
you will never leave my side. R
Refrain: Shelter me, O God; hide me in the shadow of your wings. You alone are my hope.
COMMUNION SONG You satisfy the hungry heart. # 816.
As when the shepherd calls his sheep, they know and hear his voice;
So when you call your fam’ly, Lord, we follow and rejoice. R
With joyful lips we sing to you our praise and gratitude,
That you should count us worthy, Lord, to share his heav’nly food. R
Is not the cup we bless and share the blood of Christ out poured?
Do not one cup, one loaf, declare our oneness in the Lord?
Refrain: You satisfy the hungry heart with gift of finest wheat; come give us, O saving Lord, the bread of life to eat.
CLOSING SONG Blessed be your name. SS341.
Blessed be your name in the land that is plentiful, where your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be your name, blessed be your name when I’m found in the desert place,
Though I walk through the wilderness, blessed be your name.
Every blessing you pour out, I’ll turn back to praise.
When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say, R.
Refrain: “Blessed be the name of the Lord! Blessed be your name!
Blessed be the name of the Lord! Blessed be your glorious name!”
Blessed be your name, when the sun's shining down on me,
When the world's 'all as it should be, blessed be your name
Blessed be your name on the road marked with suffering,
Though there's pain in the offering, blessed be your name
Every blessing you pour out I'll turn back to praise,
When the darkness closes in, Lord, still will say R.

Tu boca me habló.
(bis)
