STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS “Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, it is not pom-pous.” 1 CORINTHIANS 13:4 Do you get jealous? Do you focus more on the things that other people have than on the gifts that God has given you? Are you pompous? Do you ac-quire more possessions to impress others? At times we are all guilty of these things. Pray for more hu-mility. Pray to become less “self-centered” and be-come more “God-centered.”

SPIRITUAL DYNAMIC CATHOLIC, ALIVE! COMMUNITY

PARISH LIFE

Love &Truth. In the first reading today we hear that God has called each of us to be a “prophet to the nations.” This doesn’t mean that we all need to leave the country to share the truth of the Gospel. We can do it right here in our own hometown, and God will be there by our side. Jesus confirms this in the Gospel. However, Jesus also warns us in the Gospel that we may not be accepted in our own “native place.” Just as He didn’t let that stop Him, He doesn’t want it to stop us either. St. Paul gives us two important benchmarks to guide us and these are “Love” and “Truth.” We must always share the truth of the Gospel with love and truth, because we can’t have one without the other.
