A while back, I turned 70 and I am still delighting in reading the many encouraging notes you and others sent me – you’ve humbled me with your reflections,

well-wishes, and your commitment to stand on the front lines with me at Joni and Friends. And on nearly every note, one thing stood out: you assured me of your prayers!

Faith may move mountains, but prayer moves God. And as we head deeper into 2020, my heart is bursting with gratitude to Jesus that you are praying. People struggling with disabilities are turning to Him because you pray. Special-need marriages are being healed because you pray. Suffocating depression that hangs like a fog is dissipating because you are praying. Weary souls are being liberated from darkness because you care enough to pray!

Like you, I love praying big prayers. Phillips Brooks once said, “You cannot think a prayer so large that God, in answering it, will not wish you had made it larger!” Oh, how your prayers have encouraged me, so please pass along the blessing – use my Heavens Notecards (on the back page) to write out your personal prayer for a friend or family member who’s hurting. Or send a Heaven note to a mom who has a child with a disability. You brought hope to a mother and son from across the globe through your faithful prayers and support! Jocelyn from Haiti desperately needed a miracle for her

son, Monpierre, who was born disabled. They live in Pignon, a very poor community, and this mother does everything she can to provide for Monpierre as best as she can. But she’ll never be able to afford a wheelchair for him…it’s an impossible dream…

Through your fervent prayers and generosity, this mother’s prayers were answered and Monpierre received a wheelchair and a Bible in his language… all because of your faithfulness!

Jocelyn watched as our volunteer Wheels physical therapist and mechanics tenderly and perfectly fit Monpierre into his

very own wheelchair at our Wheels for the World outreach. Jocelyn was moved with emotions and she could not help but praise God for you and your faithful prayers! She told us, “I would like to thank the donor who sent the wheelchair and Bible. May God bless you as you have blessed us!”

With this wheelchair you sent, Jocelyn can take Monpierre to school, to the market, and outside in their community. Because of your prayers for Christ centered ministry, Jocelyn and Monpierre have much to smile about and praise Jesus for today.
