Wow. I am in total awe of the response and comments we’ve received about the new web site, the der Auspuff, and in joining the local chapter. Your comments have not gone unno-

ticed and they have made the Board more satisfied of the work we have been doing because you the members have recognized that the changes were made for your benefits. We thank you for your kind words. To date, we have 48 regular members paying the local chapter dues, that is out of 138 Chapter members, so we are close to reaching out goal of 60% participation.

Again, thank you for seeing the value in joining. Glenn has been work-ing very hard to get the name tags out to you all. They should be ordered as we speak and hopefully arriving at your doorsteps in the near future.

It’s still not to late to join. Get your checkbook out and send in your dues today and get a new name tag. On another note, I was browsing the new Goodie Store and was very impressed with the quality and variety of items, so I ordered a wind jacket and polo shirt with the 911 embroi-dered logo. Next time you are at the web site, www.cas.pca.org, click on the Goodie Store link and see what you can get for your pleasure.

By the time you are reading this, the planning for the Southern Chapter will be in a days or you just missed it, either way look for the updates on the calendar in the web site. For the Central Chapter you have a couple of weeks to come with some ideas for your events this year. I can tell you that we will have some great drives and events again for this year. I am doing the President’s Mystery Tour and I don’t even know where I will be going. Come out and help us make all the events more enjoyable - the more the merrier.

Annual Planning Meetings

Southern ChapterFebruary 9th at 9am at the Chadwicks Pub & Sports Bar located at 2300 Biddle Rd, Medford, Or 97504,next door to the Rogue Regency Inn. The club will provide coffee and tea and members can order their own breakfast if so desire. Come join us with your ideas for drives and events so we can make this a remarkable year. Central ChapterFebruary 23th at 11:00am at Roaring Rapids Pizza locat-ed at 4006 Franklin Blvd, Eugene, OR. Come join us as we plan activities and drives that you would like to partici-pate in. Annual Dinner Cascade Region, January 12Thirty-one member/affiliate members attended our annual dinner cel-ebration at the ROGUE RIVER LODGE in Trail on Saturday, January 12th. Cocktails hour was from 5-6 p.m. with delicious hors’d’oeuvres served compliments of the Club. At 6:30 p.m. dinner was served and members had a wide selection of menu items to choose from including prime rib, stuffed salmon, and braised lamb shanks. Food and service were exceptional to everyone’s delight.

Our President, Ross, introduced the raffle prizes that would be given out after the entree was served. In all, there were 24 various raffle prizes giv-en out, many offered compliments of our advertising sponsors Carrera Medford, Aaron’s Automotive, Specialized Automotive, and JW Com-puter Services.. Prizes ranged from T-shirts with the new Club logo im-printed on both sides to two auto detailing services valued at over $300 for the two donated by Carrera Medford. Carrera Medford also gave away a week-end free car rental to one of the lucky recipients (Sonia Hodgdon).

Roy and Mary Jane Pederson travelled all the way from their Phoenix, Az. winter retreat to be with us at this festive dinner . We had not seen them since the Fort Bragg trip in October of 2010 and it sure was good to see their shining faces. Roy told me that he had been through 3 oper-ations and had a “frequent flier” member certificate to the Mayo clinic. I must say that he looked radiant and vital and not the worse for wear !

Southern Chapter ’ s Happenings

Several members from the Eugene region drove down to be at the din-ner, including John and Renee Thompson, our Central Chapter Reps. and Corey and Andrea Unfried. Corey, who is fastidious about the up-keep of his black Boxster (he won’t drive on dirt or gravel roads!) won the auto detailing certificate, which seemed most appropriate. We have a new member, Doc DeAndrea, who owns a Porsche 944 who attended the dinner and we hope to see more of him at future events.

The dinner meeting adjourned at 9 p.m.with some members lingering over conversations and sharing tales of good times had during this past year.

Glenn, Ross, and myself did some filming prior to the dinner on Ross’s GO-PRO camera and footage was shown on Glenn’s computer prior to cocktails. I think that the camera will come in handy for filming of some of our trips that we do this coming season. Speaking of which, our meeting for planning this coming season’s drives will be held Saturday, February 9th at the Rogue Regency Inn at 9 a.m. We hope as many of you as practicable will attend. This is YOUR club so come out and share your ideas and plan the activities/drives that YOU would like to attend.

Central Chapter Chatter

Central Chapter Rep reporting for duty, SIR! Not much to report, SIR!At ease soldier. Carry on.

This article could have been as short as that. Since my last writing was too long and this one is on the short side, I am hoping that next month will be juuussst right. Quick rundown of what’s happening in the Central Chapter. The monthly Cars and Caffeine gathering has been reasonably successful. The attendance has been heavily weighted towards owners of 912s (that’s right owners of 40+ year old cars are outnumbering the rest of the group. Closely followed by ‘84 Carrera owners), With the weather on the cusp of turning decent again, we will possibly be looking at a location change to better accommodate the crowd. If the informal gathering isn’t your cup-of-tea, the Central Chapter is having a plan-ning meeting Feb. 23rd in Glenwood at Roaring Rapids Pizza. Check out the calendar for time other necessary information. So until next time, hope to see you on the road.

Cascade PCA Name Tags

Beginning January 1st all primary Cas-cade PCA members who opt to pay the newly implemented local dues of $20 will receive a new name tag with their choice of either a Porsche 356 or a Porsche 911

Carrera pictured on the logo insignia. Affiliate members can opt to have name tags at a nominal cost of $6.50 each. Name tags come with a magnetic clasp at the back. Below is a pic-ture of the new name tag. You will be shortly receiving a letter

with further info. regarding ordering of the name tag. You will be asked how you want your

name tag to read and which of the two logos you would prefer.
