Embody Denim is Australia’s leading designer, plus-size fashion label for women size 14-22.
The label was established in 2006 by Australia’s first plus-size, fashion editorial model, Natalie Wakeling, after years of frustration at the lack fashionable, denim options for the size 14+ customer.
Natalie decided to put her years working for Australian and International brands to good use, crafting the first premium range of designer denim that would finally fit and flatter curvy women.
Embody Denim has garnered a cult following thanks to its magical denim jeans that feature subtle design additions including special seams, support bands and pocket placement to help enhance the silhouette of curvy women.
Thanks to the success of her denim range, Natalie has now expanded her collection to include a seasonal range of tailored skirts, body skimming dresses and classic jackets in this season’s must-have prints, fabrics and cuts.
Natalie, who has worked as a plus size model for over twelve years, knows firsthand what curvy women want and she intends to see that her market gets it.
“We believe women should be able to find fun, on-trend garments that fit and flatter their shape and inspire an inner-confidence without compromising on quality fabrics” she said.
With a huge gap in the market for brands that not only understand how to design for a bigger shape, but can also provide the required fashion element, it’s no surprise women all over the country are falling in love with Embody Denim.
“Women have told us they love the technology behind our denim because they finally have a pair of jeans that suits them, so I will continue creating fashion- forward styles with a size range that complements our customer’s diversity” says Natalie.
The Embody brand is available through selected retailers and the Embody Denim website.
Natalie is featured regularly in print and on-line media discussing her range, the growing demand for high-end, quality garments for curvy silhouettes and style tips/advice for curvy women.
