CaterinaD E S I G N E D F O R H E A LT H C A R EThe Caterina was designed for use throughout any hospital. The chair frames look like wood,

but are actually made from a ground-breaking, solid surface (⅛” thick), high-impact-resistant

polymer which means they don’t have any of the drawbacks of wood. The frames are moisture

impervious and can be cleaned for at least 10 years using any of the EPA-registered

antimicrobial products effective against C. diff. (even 100% bleach), without diminishing the

chair surface’s integrity or appearance.

appropriate furniture materials with the correct cleaning products and protocols ensures

effective surface disinfection, reducing the risk of cross-transmission of HAIs. The Caterina

Guest/Multi Use Chair is built for infection prevention with a frame that does not support

microbial growth. The chair can also withstand the harshest daily cleaning regimens, including

bleach, without degrading its finish and appearance. Kwalu’s Caterina chair provides one

spacious removable seat, an angled back, angled, contempo-

rary arms to facilitate ingress and egress and wall saver back

legs. Caterina Guest is available as a slat back and a short

upholstered back, in widths of 23.5” or 28”.

The armless version of the Caterina is a thoughtfully designed

chair which features clean lines; a spacious removable seat,

an angled back and wall saver back legs. Inset side seat rails

provide a sturdy support to assist in navigating ingress and

egress. The legs are connected by side stretchers.

Eliminating Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs) requires increasingly stringent infection prevention protocols.

Thoughtfully designed with a higher seat, the Caterina Easy Access chair

allows you to sit without bending at the hip. Front, back and side stretchers

provide better support for the user. Built with safety in mind, this chair has

non-skid adjustable glides on the front and back legs. An easy to use foot rest

is attached to the top of the front stretcher. The Caterina Easy Access is ideal

for post hip surgery patients or those suffering from hip and knee arthritis.
