f D R was president during the great depression and ww2, the great depression was a bad time for the economy and people lost their money and homes.

he did not give up when he did not want to join the war. i think it was hard for fdr to decide to fight in the war and at the same time help people gain money.

fdr helped guide the US navy through ww 1.

fdr and his cabinet members helped get congress to pass dozens of new laws to fight the depression. i think that he had to think of a lot of laws.

in 1920 james m. cox ran for president and fdr ran for vice president. they lost. i think it was hard for fdr to lose, but he learned from this. In 1933, fdr ran for president. he gave speeches not only saying that he was a good man, but also that he would make the world a better place.

FDR was senator of new york city. When WWI started, he was elected secretary of the navy by president wilson. In the navy, he helped guide the navy ships in the war. he worried about himself but most of all about his soldier's safety.

when FDR became president he communicated and shared to his people that i will do nice things and help our state.
