FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH Costa Rica Mission Team FCC just completed its 3rd mission trip to Costa Rica (05, 08) and again partnered with Faro Church. In addition to some time spent helping on the Abraham Project in a low- income community in San Jose, we launched off on a new outreach. Our team, along with several from Faro Church, went to minister to an indigenous group called the Cabecar. We brought clothes, some OTC medicines, candy, etc. to give out; painted their humble church facility inside and out; and had a church service together. The service was cool  because it was conducted in both Spanish and Cabecar (no English except when people prayed). Our youth did a series of vignettes dramatizing Jesus’ healings; Pasotr Randy preached; and we prayed for the sick. God ministered to our own team and we were able to  be an encouragement to our church family there in Costa Rica. THE GOSPEL IN DRAMA - Acting out the stories of Jesus was powerful. People were on the edges of their plank seats. MEET PHYSICAL NEEDS - Thanks to generous donors, we were able to give away needed items. LAY HANDS ON THE SICK - Our team was able to pray for several serious needs after worshipping together.  AUGUST 2011 DR. RANDY SMITH, LEAD PASTOR Click for more Costa Rica photos

  FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH

Costa Rica Mission Team

FCC just completed its 3rd

mission trip to Costa Rica (05,

08) and again partnered with

Faro Church. In addition to

some time spent helping on

the Abraham Project in a low-

income community in San

Jose, we launched off on a new outreach. Our team,

along with several from Faro

Church, went to minister to

an indigenous group called

the Cabecar. We brought

clothes, some OTC

medicines, candy, etc. to

give out; painted their

humble church facility

inside and out; and had a

church service together. The service was cool

 because it was conducted

in both Spanish and

Cabecar (no English

except when people

prayed). Our youth did a

series of vignettes

dramatizing Jesus’

healings; Pasotr Randy

preached; and we prayed

for the sick.

God ministered to our own

team and we were able to

 be an encouragement to

our church family there in

Costa Rica.

THE GOSPEL IN DRAMA - Acting out

the stories of Jesus was powerful. People

were on the edges of their plank seats.

MEET PHYSICAL NEEDS - Thanks

to generous donors, we were able to give

away needed items.

LAY HANDS ON THE SICK - Our

team was able to pray for several serious

needs after worshipping together.

 Vacation Bible School

 After a few years hiatus,

 we brought VBS back in

full force. Over 50

different children

attended throughout the

 week and around that

many adults & teens

that helped pull this off.

Our goals were to see

kids come to know Jesus

(most people accept

Jesus while young); to

help children grow

stronger in their faith

and Bible knowledge;

and to encourage

families unconnected to

a local church that God

has something for them.

Summer Ministry

In addition to the rest of the

good ministry that went on

this summer, Kevin Quantzand Brian Laskowski

headed up a garage rebuild

for a needy Mishawaka

family, putting their skills to

good use.

21st we go to two services.
