    VBS Recap(Vacation Bible School)

    Many churches have stopped

    doing VBS, Im guessing because

it is costly and requires a lot of

    volunteers. FCC committed to

    doing VBS again this year

    because we sincerely believe that

God can touch young hearts in a

way that is tougher the older we

get. We had also seen last yearthat we have a high enough

interest level in the church and

community to make it worth the

    effort.

    Somewhere close to 30 people

worked hard to make this a

    success, some for months ahead

of time (thank you Robyn, Pastor

    Mark, Cassie, Carolyn...). And

    during the week we had

    volunteers signing kids up,

    collecting donations for the

    missions project, listening to

    children recite their memory

    verses, leading in songs,

    communicating through

    skits, teaching at the

    stations, running media,

making and serving food, chaperoning kids, and so

    forth. Our people stepped up

and were used by God. On

    the childrens behalf - Thank

    You!

    Throughout the week we

    had 51 different children

    participate. 13 of the older

    ones (and many younger

kids) made significantdecisions for Jesus (like

    salvation). One of the newer

    children was even baptized

    last month and has

    been attending with

Cassie and Jarrod introduced each night with a skit

SNACK TIME - Laurie, Karrie and

others helped connect the dots between

hearing the lessons and object lessons

    with food.

BIBLE TIME - Miss Kathie brought the

BIble alive for the students through voice,

actions, and a bunch of neat props that

    the VBS team made.

MISSIONS - Miss Tammy led the

missions and video station. The kids raised

funds to buy mosquito nets for needy

    children.

her mother. So you tell me,

was it worth the time and

    effort?

I want to encourage you to

    plug in to ministry

    somewhere. Sometimes

    we assume that someone

    else will do ... (whatever),

but the reality is that they

    may be thinking the same

    thing. If you have any

interest at all, pleaserespond to Gods nudge

    and step up. Use the

    abilities God gave you.

    Jesus said that He didnt

come to be served, but to

serve, and to give his life as

    a ransom for many Matthew

    20:28. He is our model.

I am grateful for those of you

    who have chosen to minister

to others through FCC. Keep it

up gang! Lets make our Lord

proud and do this for His

    Glory!
