Who is F.B.I.G.?? Faith Based Initiative Group (F.B.I.G.) is a non-profit agency based

in Asbury Park, NJ. We use a holistic approach, addressing all of

our clients’ needs- physical, emotional, social, etc. We assess and

prepare them on every level, developing permanent skills that lead

to long-term success. We work with individuals and families to

find federal, state and local resources in all areas of social services

– education, training, housing, employment, housing and

healthcare. Our goal at F.B.I.G. is to exceed expectations, one mind at a time.

We don’t just teach job skills, we work on life skills, supporting the

building blocks that bring confidence, growth and stability to the

individual, the family and outward into the world.

Brian Grant is the Managing Principal of SLX

Infrastructure, LLC an engineering company that

What does that mean for you? Here

at F.B.I.G. we now offer paid

training classes while you learn

fundamental customer service skills.

You must be between 18-21 years of

age. At the end of the training, we

will facilitate a test and if you pass,

you will receive your Retail

Certification from NRF.

Classes start soon. Come by our

office to pick up your registration

and certification packet. Isn’t it time

MAKE-IT- HAPPEN

Is a program that provides a bi-monthly job listing and resource

newsletter for all who register. We will also offer a la carte services such

as the retail and work readiness credentials.

JUMP START LIFE SKILLS Academy

The city of Asbury Park is sponsoring Job Readiness training to assist

participants to employment and self-sufficiency in the retail and

customer service industries. The program will run for five weeks and will

be held in the FBIG office at 1201 Springwood Ave. Asbury Park.

Here at F.B.I.G., we believe in second chances and strongly

encourage anyone who walks through our doors to find and educate

themselves. Upon completing any one of our programs, they leave

motivated and energized to becoming an upstanding citizen of their

community. Though dads may face hurdles because of the overall

systems established to prevent or deter them, we’re

optimistic that with diligence, commitment and patience, things

will turn around for the better and the

battle won’t be so long and tiresome. Until

that moment, we say to the dads out there

currently trying to be involved in your

child’s life – Never let your circumstance

or environment prevent you from reaching

your goal or raising your child. It’s going

to take more than ONE individual, ONE

business, ONE town, or ONE state to help

these fathers secure their position in their

kids life, it’s going to take all of us to

fight. But it starts with you – the dad.

We’re here to help, to assist with finding

suitable employment and teaching you

how to be successful. For there’s no

amount of money that any individual could

receive, to compensate witnessing others

obtain their dreams. At F.B.I.G. we

dedicated to help you make it happen

“Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a

dad” Sometimes however, a father must grow and go through

some things before they become that dad. Whether it’s because

there is a lack of support in and out of the household or the

choices made placed them in a difficult position to care for their

child, once a man decides to be a dad, they soon discover getting

back into that child’s life and staying there; isn’t so easy.
