Principal News:
Dear Parents and Carers,
What great weather the children have had for swim school. Another big thank you to those parents who have been transporting and staff for shuffling everyone around.
We are delighted to invite all grandparents and special friends of children in Years K-6 to Grandparents Day which will take place on Thursday, 27th November at 2pm. There will be afternoon tea followed by a short concert. If grandparents or special friends would like to attend please let the school know.
Your December calendar is found below with all the important dates. You will notice we are going to try something new for the end of year celebration. We will be having a Fun Day at school. There will be more details later but it is a fun day for the students. Parents, as always you are most welcome but not expected. But I would love to see everyone at our Presentation Day.
Please remember tonight at 5:30 in the Library there will be a community meeting. We will be discussing: · Our anticipated enrolment for next year · Your contribution to the school plan 2015-2017 Look forward to seeing you there. Relieving Principal Karen Baker

These photos show our lovely K/1 students engaged in our various reading group activities. Reese is completing his iPad task, Angus and Regan are working on their Reading Group booklet, Mrs Lavercombe is conducting guided reading with Mia and Liam is doing some quiet reading before Fruit Break.
This week in Maths 1/2/3 have been concentrating on telling time accurately. The students made and labelled their own personal clocks so that they could demonstrate just how clever they were at showing and measuring time. We have continued to develop our narrative writing skills in AL lessons and swim school has been great fun. We have also been practising our dance for next week’s Grandparents’ Day.
Students in 3/4/5/6 have been playing lots of fun maths games over the past two weeks. Maths games consolidate the skills students have learnt in previous maths lessons and are fun ways to learn without even knowing it! Here we see some students playing a game called Multiplication Salute, where they must recall factors.
