    Introduction

    What?

FAST = FormAtting inputs Simply for comet and model Tools FAST = Excel template + 1 new menu (called... FAST!)

FAST can be used to feed COMET, MODEL and LKB tools

    FAST is a 2G tool

    Why?

Speeds up the BSS dimensioning process

There are less and less projects for new 2G networks...

...but more and more for network extensions, densification...

    ...or EDGE activation!

Allows the designer to focus on his design rather than on his toolsWhen?

    FAST is adapted:

For a project with an existing network

To generate quickly some rough BSS design from scratch

E1 can be chosen no matter the BSS release

E1-STM1 is available as transport option from B11 MR1 onwards

From B11 MR2 onwards it is possible to choose IPoEth as Transport Mode

IPoE1 can be used from B12 onwards

Note: A check is performed, verifying that the BSS Releases (in Traffic Profile sheet)corresponding to the traffic profiles defined for cells, in SiteBoQ, respect the rules

    mentioned above.

The Transport Mode is another criteria for differentiating site types

    Ex:

    S/ 1. 1.g:B10 MR2:LKB_900_DU/ E1
