Harford County Public Schools FY19 Budget Input
Board of Education Public Input Sessions for the FY 19 HCPS Operating Budget were held in January, 2018. Last year, the school system requested $251.6 million from the county, which was $18.1 million more than the $233.5 million the county allocated. It had to make adjustments to make up the difference.
The vote on the budget has been moved to the February 12th meeting.

A drawing for a gift card will be held at the end of each month, so be sure
to include your name and homeroom teacher on the baggie to be en-
tered to win.
Please turn in all your box tops by the end of February to count to-ward our first submis-

Hospitality Committee Update
The FMS PTA Hospitality Committee provides fun events for the teachers and staff throughout the year. The committee is planning a Valentine’s treat in February and a coffee bar in March. Many thanks
to all who provided savory soups for the January treat.
Our largest event will be Teacher Appreciation Week the first week in May. If you are interested in volunteering with the this Committee,

Board of Education Meetings
Regular meetings of the Board of Education are normally held on the second and fourth Monday of each month (except July and August) at 6:30 p.m. in the Roberty Building, located at 102 South Hickory Avenue Bel Air, MD 21014.
