Hello Lumberjacks! As you will find in this Campus Recreation program guide, we are all about looking for ways to empower yourself. This theme also rings true for me, as I have just joined the Stephen F. Austin family as the Director of Campus Recreation. You could say I’m still a kid at heart – I love to live life adventur-ously, hence why I have been involved in recreation for the last 18 years. This is what I do, it’s in my blood and I love the career path I have taken. I hope to bring some new ideas, a fresh perspective, and a willingness to learn as well. I am big on professional devel-opment, collaboration, and being on the cutting edge of whatever trends are out there. I hope that I can build upon that solid founda-tion and help Campus Recreation and SFA reach even higher. I’m excited to be a part of the SFA and Campus Recreation community for many reasons, but mostly because this is a place that is doing things with student service as their primary focus and I’m ready to explore new ways to benefit this department and university.

Sincerely,Ken Morton - Director of Campus Recreation
