Asher Hughes 1.) What are the skills that you think make students most successful in school? I think the most important skills for a student to have are determination and motivation. 2.) What advice would you give to students that want to pursue careers but do not have the support base at home to encourage them? Something that I would say to a student who doesn’t have a good home support system is, “Find a like-minded friend.” Everyone needs encouragement. 3.) How does your belief in Christ and being at a Christian school enhance the educational training you provide? My belief in Christ gives me a specific purpose for doing what I do. It’s my job to introduce Jesus to everyone I meet. Bible Verse Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Chronicles 16:34 In Everything Give Thanks For all that God in mercy sends - For health and children, home and friends; For comfort in the time of need, For every kindly word and deed, For happy talks and holy thoughts; For guidance in our daily walk - In everything give thanks! For beauty in this world of ours, For verdant grass and lovely flowers, For song of birds, for horn of bees, For the refreshing summer breeze, For hill and plain, for streams and wood, For the great ocean's mighty flood - In everything give thanks! For the sweet sleep which comes with night, For the returning morning's light, For the bright sun that shines on high, For the stars glittering in the sky - For these and everything we see, O Lord our hearts we lift to thee; In everything give thanks! Huge thanks to Mr. Santana for hosting the RCA Veteran’s Day Celebration! He has served in professional sports for 14 years.
