Is there a quote that defines your perception of life? Is if so, what is it? I believe and teach that the Bible is our manual for life. For that reason, my perception is greatly influenced by Biblical principles. The quote that most aligns with me comes from the Bible. ‘’ Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.’’ Proverbs 17:28 NLT The scripture reminds me how important it is to stop, listen and understand. It helps to keep me grounded and focused. In the midst of being silent I become better equipped to gain perspective and knowledge and am humbled at what I learned. A wise person always seeks to understand rather to be understood. 2.) How do you inspire your student to work to their highest potential? Research shows that employees perform their best when they feel valued and encouraged in the workplace. The same can be true when educating youngsters in a school setting. So, with that philosophy always in the forefront of my mind, I make certain that every student feels appreciated and as an essential part of our little classroom family. ..I allow students the opportunity to think critically and never limit their capabilities… 3.) In what capacity have you worked at RCA? …I started working as the high school Spanish teacher and Middle School English teacher. ..I taught High School History, Career, AP History and High School English. ..Thank you so much RCA for having me! Life Paul Laurence Dunbar A crust of bread and a corner to sleep in, A minute to smile and an hour to weep in, A pint of joy to a peck of trouble, And never a laugh but the moans come double; And that is life! A crust and a corner that love makes precious, With a smile to warm and the tears to refresh us; And joy seems sweeter when cares come after, And a moan is the finest of foils for laughter; And that is life! “If it is disgreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
