The church will celebrate Fancy Hats Day. During the regular service all ladies are encourage to wear their best Mother’s Day outfit topped off with a beautiful hat on Sunday. Centenary United Methodist The UMMen will meet at Simpson Memorial UMC in Versailles at 6 p.m. Monday. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the cost is $7. Registration is required. The Ladies Lunch Bunch will go to the Derby Cafe for lunch Tuesday, leaving the church at 11:30 a.m. The membership care team meets at the church at 10 a.m. Thursday. The missions team has placed three boxes throughout the church for collection of new and old shoes for Third World Countries drink- ing systems. Vacation Bible School has been planned for the week of July 9-15. More information will be released later. Senior recognition day service is scheduled for May 20. Booker Jr., a native of Shelbyville and pastor of Kenwood Northeast Baptist Church in Crestwood, and Marsha Booker hosted a trip to the Holy Land for 10 days in March. The group includes Ruth and Arthur Richie, Barbara Mack, Linda Tramill and Mary Ann and James Booker Sr. They met with groups from the churches of Knoxville, Tenn. and Hemphill, Texas.
