Riley Radziak Well, “Oh Boy” is my favorite song by you of all time! I was wondering what message you tried to get across?
Buddy Holly Well, I had a high school sweetheart and she always had a boyfriend and I never got my chance to ask her out. But one day, she said she was done with her boyfriend and she never wanted to see him again. We became best friends and finally I asked her to be my girlfriend.
Riley Radziak Aw that’s so sweet! So that’s what you meant by “All of my life, I”ve been a-waitin’, tonight there’ll be no, hesitatin’” I get it now. I know that the song is on your album called The Chirping Crickets! That’s my favorite album. All the songs on there are great!
Buddy Holly Yeah and that particular song was released on November 27, 1957! We used a little bass, drums, and electric guitar while playing the song! Well I hoped that helped you out and I’m glad you’re such a big fan!
