Dear Mayor d6 in Gray;
Ws sre p!eased to invite vcu t3 attend the %th Annual Durham Regional Police Appreciation inner and Awards Night being held on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at the Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility in Ajax. Reception is at 6:15 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m.
Since the dinner's inception we, with your generous support, have embraced the Durham Regional Police for the exemplary work they do each and every day in our community. We would now like to take this a step further by "Embracing Durham" with much needed support for local agencies that make a huge impact on the lives of those they touch. Contact us about sponsoring one of our partnering agencies to sustain the initiatives you have helped us create.
Our previous seven dinners have been sold out as business and community representatives across Durham Region have joined together to recognize our brave men and women of the Durham Regional Police Service.
Make your reservations today for an evening of fun and inspiration. Guests will meet, talk and dine with uniformed police officers, who will share their stories of courage, bravery and service. You will also be introduced to Durham's youngest Police Chief For-A-Day, an amazing Grade 5 student who will restore your faith in today's youth.
Join us in saying "Thank You" to the brave men and women who put their iives on the line every day to keep our communities safe. Please purchase a table for this year's event or make a financial contribution. Order your tickets now to avoid disappointment!
Yours truly, a Blair McArthur

DURHAM REGIONAL
Please loin us in celebrating and supporting the achievements of
ihe Durham Regional Police Service and its approximately 1,100
employees
Durham Region is fortunate to have one of the best municipal
police services in Ontario, one that continues to lead by example.
The Durham Regional Police Service continues to be a leader in
preventing crime and solving crimes that hove already occurred,
keeping our streets safe through the strategic deployment of
police personnel and civilian support staff. In 2009, DRPS was
recognized nationally by Statistics Canada for its ability to solve
serious crimes, with the second highest clearance rate in
Canada for communities with populations over 100,000.
