The Radisson Hotel at Framwellgate in Durham is a fully-specified, 4-Star hotel with 212 guest rooms, swimming pool and gym as well as leisure, conference and banqueting facilities. The hotel is located on the banks of the River Wear in the heart of historic Durham city.

Cundall IT and audio visual consultants were appointed to design and manage the procurement and commissioning of the hotel systems including:

� Telephone system � Administrative data network � IP TV system � Guest Wi-Fi and high speed internet access � Meeting room audio visual facilities � PMS (billing system) � Mobile phone reinforcement

Benefits:

� Cost reduction - Cundall worked with the developer and negotiated with Radisson to reduce the cost of the IT and audio visual systems whilst remaining compliant with Radisson’s standards. � Aesthetic design - The hotel is located close to

the historic core of Durham but had very limited mobile coverage. Cundall worked with the mobile phone operators to conceal mobile base station antennas in the hotel flag poles. � Early bookings - Cundall assisted the operator

to establish a pre-opening office to take room reservations and conference bookings in advance of the opening to maximise revenue in the first few weeks after the opening.
