Dress Down Day Total Cordia raised a total of £190 from the dress down day on 27 July 2012 in aid of The Curry Tree charitable fund. It was part of a council wide dress down day which generated £784 in total. Money will be used to support the Pakistan Flood Appeal and the Find Your Feet charity, which helps poor families grow food in India, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrence Regulations (RIDDOR) has changed. Previously all accidents which resulted in a person being absent from work for more than three consecutive days were reported. However, the change to legislation means accidents should now be reported when a person has been off work for more than seven consecutive days (not counting the day on which the accident happened). For further information on how this applies to Cordia please contact Emma Rodger at the Learning Centre. email: [email protected]

Phil Gets Hole In One

Whether it’s scoring the winning penalty in the world cup final or knocking out a world champion boxer, every sport has its momentous achievements. For golf, this Holy Grail of the sports is the exceptional hole in one. For Phil McQuillan, transport and technical services manager, this dream became a reality on the 17th hole of the Queen’s course at Gleneagles. The achievement was all the sweeter knowing that a double or quits on a losing bet was riding on it.

Congratulations Phil ‘Mickelson’ McQuillan!
