Exterior Garage Doors

Welcome March! One of the sure signs that we are entering our last days of cold spells here in

Middle Tennessee are the buttercups and daffodils blooming in the yard. Another sign of changing

weather is our neighbors working on the exterior of their homes, yards and becoming motivated for

weekend DIY warrior projects.

How is your exterior garage door looking? Does it need sprucing up? Whether it is as simple as a

good pressure wash or adding a pop of personality to the home – a little maintenance can go a long

way to enhancing your property’s curb appeal.

• A thorough pressure wash is always a good starting point

• Repair/replace any damaged framing, door jamb, rotted wood

• Paint any weathered framing or even consider painting/stain the bay door

• Repair/paint/replace exterior garage door lighting

• Add a flagpole bracket/holder over the bay door for special occasions such as our Nation’s

celebration, football or favorite sport game day

• Add flowering hanging pots to each side of the bay door

• Add plant urns to each side of the bay door

• Consider adding to the fixed structure such as a pergola or extended overhead moldings
