How does it work?
• Modality Nodes are deployed in critical customer locations on typical user connectivity
(wired / wireless)
• Additional Nodes are deployed at Skype for Business service locations (on-premise or
Azure for Cloud)
• Nodes perform a series of calls between each other and the service nodes – all calls use
a known good Skype for Business service and all calls have an expected “score”
• Node data is captured and Modality Diagnostics prepares some structured reports
• Modality analyse the data – focusing efforts on the site performance for critical network
metrics such as latency, packet loss and jitter.
• Network impact to Skype for Business user experience is quantified
• Modality present findings in a report and presentation / workshop – this is a technical
