Early Bird Study Hall Contract
Higher Achievement has recognized the need for additional
academic support for selectscholars who have experienced an
academic decline in one or more of the core subjectareas (math and
reading/writing) over the course of the year. In an effort to
continue tooffer support to our scholars and parents, we have
decided to conduct small study hallsessions from May 9 th -May 30
th . See the details below for more information.
Who: A select group of ten to fifteen scholars (first- come,
first-served basis; so be sure torespond as soon as possible)What:
A study hall for scholars in need of continued academic
supportWhen: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00-6:00pmWhere:
Center City PCS (Capitol Hill Campus)
How: Scholars will receive individualized attention and support
on homework,studying/preparing for upcoming tests and quizzes, and
project completion. Moreover, wewill assist scholars and parents in
being organized and adhering to expectations of theScholar Academic
Plan (SAP) for their scholar.Why: To continually support and
empower scholars and parents in need of academicassistance
-All scholars will be expected to: Bring their completed agenda
book to Center daily (any scholar(s) without a
completed agenda book will be immediately sent home) Attend each
study hall session (scholars will only be allowed one excused
absence) Provide their own snacks/food to eat during a 15 minute
snack time (we will not be
providing any type of snack) Behave appropriately:
Parents/guardians will be contacted if there is an incident
where a scholar receives a check; scholars who receive two
checks will be removedfrom the study hall until the official
reconvening of After School Academy thefollowing week.
-All parents/guardians will be expected to: Provide timely
transportation for their scholars to and from Center. Study Hall
begins
promptly at 4:00pm and concludes at 6:00pm sharp . Meet/check-in
at least one day this weekwith Center Staff to evaluate the
academic
progress of the scholars.o Preference (please circle one: check

Communicate with Center staff in advance when scholars will not be
able to attend.
This is a great opportunity for scholars and parents/guardians
to receive neededacademic support. If you and your scholar(s) are
