Objectives/background The client wanted to find an efficient means of testing their wet gas wells on an individual basis, while the wells continued on normal production, avoiding reliance on diverting the wells to a fixed test separator (located 13km away) Expro Excellence Expro mobilised ActiveSONAR™ measurement technology along with specialist field technicians to test multiple individual wells (2 x 10” wet gas production wells), downstream of the production choke, on a 72-hour rotations Data was collected and reported in real- time to the client on-site using Expro’s Total Production Surveillance Software™ (TPS1000) After the pilot was complete, collected data was compared to the reference data provided by the test separator, which was operated simultaneously on the same wells – the sonar data was found to be +/- 5% of the test separator data across all phases (gas, condensate and water) Value to client The small footprint, hand-carried metering equipment allowed the client to test wells before separation Non-intrusive – can be fitted to existing pipework Real-time multiphase reporting Rates reported within 5% of the test separator results Increased data collection and testing frequency Rapid mobilisation

Expro carried out a pilotcampaign to showcase thecapabilities of the sonarflow measurementtechnology in wet gasmultiphase application anddemonstrated how this costeffective solution can beused in areas/applicationswhere traditional productiontesting is not suitable ordifficult to achieve.

Objectives/background

• The client wanted to find an efficientmeans of testing their wet gas wells onan individual basis, while the wellscontinued on normal production, avoidingreliance on diverting the wells to a fixedtest separator (located 13km away)

Expro Excellence

• Expro mobilised ActiveSONAR™measurement technology along withspecialist field technicians to test multipleindividual wells (2 x 10” wet gasproduction wells), downstream of theproduction choke, on a 72-hour rotations

• Data was collected and reported in real-time to the client on-site using Expro’sTotal Production Surveillance Software™(TPS1000)

• After the pilot was complete, collecteddata was compared to the reference dataprovided by the test separator, which wasoperated simultaneously on the samewells – the sonar data was found to be+/- 5% of the test separator data acrossall phases (gas, condensate and water)

Value to client• The small footprint, hand-carried

metering equipment allowed the client totest wells before separation

• Non-intrusive – can be fitted to existingpipework

• Real-time multiphase reporting

• Rates reported within 5% of the testseparator results

• Increased data collection and testingfrequency

• Rapid mobilisation
