It’s designed to facilitate greater transparency with the public in how architects create our built environment and how it impacts their daily lives; to create an ongoing dialogue to inform a distinct, regional, architectural identity; and to highlight existing relationships between the region and its architecture. ABOUT THE GUIDE William Burg William Burg is a historian specializing in California social history and historic preservation, who has written six books and approximately 100 articles about Sacramento’s history, architecture, culture and art. He serves on the board of preservation Sacramento, Sacramento County Historical Society, Sacramento Heritage Inc. and Capital City Preservation Trust, and lives in Midtown Sacramento.
