In Vietnam Software Industry, the sales growth rate is 12.7%.Among that, Japan is the biggest software export market of Vietnam.

Vietnam companies doing offshore to Japan are increasing rapidly, it is about 20 companies in 2009 but it reaches to 200 companies in 2014.

• Vietnam is now the most attractive offshore destination for Japan enterprises. Therefore, percentage between ITO and offshore development is increasing.It increased from 13.9％ in 2008 to 23.3％ in 2011.

• For Japan enterprise, offshore development of China is still highest, but Vietnam well-known with sympathizer for Japan and hard-work characters is the most attractive.


At now, Vietnam is considering Japan as a customer and proving labor force to Japan.

But I think that rapid growth of Vietnam is really starting while the demands in Vietnam is expanded and domestic market is more and more active.

Vietnam enterprise should build an interchange with Japan enterprise not having offshore experience yet through students・young engineers studying abroad.

When these people return Vietnam, they will develop and sell the products not only in Vietnam market but also all over the world, and this is the time that the relation between Vietnam and Japan may be different.
