Known for their hallmark creation, Cashel Blue, which is stocked on quality cheese counters around the world, the company also makes a rich and full flavoured Sheeps milk blue Crozier. The latter currently bears title to none other than 2 Super Golds from both the British and French World Cheese awards. All cheeses are handmade, matured and often distributed direct to market from Beechmount Farm. Employing over 20 local people, Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers contribute to holding together the community in this very rural corner of Co. Tipperary. Sustainability of agriculture is a key focus of the Grubb and Furno families, with an agri-food heritage going back over 300 years, the family is determined to ensure that their family farm will continue to provide a living not only for themselves but also their employees at a time when agricultural produce is increasingly subject to commodity pricing. Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers are proud to be accredited under the Irish charter for food production sustainability: Origin Green. 1984 Cashel Blue Creme 120g: A gourmet, all natural blue cheese spread, combining mature Cashel Blue, cream cheese, cream and nothing else. 1.5kg variable weight traditional wheels 350g traditional foil wrap half-moon section (ideal for Christmas at farm shops) 120g prepack Cashel Blue Organic, less than 150 wheels of this are made at a time, made from the milk of a mixed race of cows, which are milked only once a day, this expression of The Cashel Blue making is intensely creamy and moreish. Cashel Blue is only made by Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers and that all the curds are cut and stirred by hand.
